Microsoft IE 8 launched

Microsoft has annouced its arrival for the war of Browsers. IE 8 is released by microsoft for competing the market of browsers.As usage of online has becoming more and more in US and other parts of the world microsoft believes that this is best time to launch their best browser which is very competetive in the market. They say that browser will play key role when application are moving towards cloud computing.Also Microsoft is working on Gazelle the new web browser they were talking about we need to wait and watch for that.

As already firefox has been open for the opensource, we need to see how IE8 will compete with firefox.As it is applicable only for the windows platforms as the earlier browsers of the microsoft did, there will be no users from the Linux operating systems which may have effect on IE 8.Microsoft said it is confident about IE 8 as it is going to give very tough competetion for Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera.“The amount of time each of us spends online has grown exponentially – be it work, play, share, shop , socialise and much much more, the browser has become our best companion in the journey of the online world. With Internet Explorer 8, we are redefining how people explore the universe around them, by making it faster, more fun, and safer, in a very personal and customized way,” said Hemant Sachdev, joint managing director – consumer & online, Microsoft India.

Microsoft press statement further says, "In response to extensive customer research, Microsoft has developed Internet Explorer 8 to focus on what matters most to people. Key innovations in IE8 that make internet browsing faster, safer and more personalised are: Accelerators, Visual Search and Web Slices. All these features significantly cut down the number of clicks required to perform the most common tasks on the internet."
