BUSINESS GAZETTEER
OH, IT'S another of those lovely Valentine's Day-related tales. Apparently a naughty one in three of us admits to having exchanged flirty e-mails or texts with a colleague despite already being in a relationship outside the workplace, a new survey has revealed.
And a total of 38 per cent of people surveyed came clean on the fact they have had a full-blown office romance – although 70 per cent of those have kept it secret from other employees. Yet, despite the desire to keep workplace love in the closet, a massive 89 per cent of workers say they would be unfazed by romances going on around them and only 8 per cent say they would actually confront an amorous pair of colleagues.
According to survey longer working hours and increased socialising.Lewis Woodward, head of network marketing at Reed, says: "It is surprising that people seem so totally unfazed by office romances, even though they are reluctant to open up to their own office flings."Gazetteer is eyeing its colleagues jealously and wondering how many of them are secretly flirting away happily while its own e-mail inbox remains empty
